The house is a little dirty and in need of repairs but it did not discourage Maggie. She got
right to work. Maybe we should have called her Martha.
While Maggie was busy cleaning, Tristan was amusing himself with the village life.
The sign above lets you know that you have entered the village. There are approximately 2,500
inhabitants. The picture to the right is the closest clinic to Bagré. If you look closely there is a
patient on the porch. Don't worry. There is another newer clinic about 45 minutes away.
Above are pictures of the Lutheran Church in Bagré. This was the first Lutheran congregation
among the Gourmantcé but it needs help and guidance. They would like to grow in faith, they
would like to evangelize, and they would like to renovate their building. They would also like to
get rid of the bats before they out number the members.
All around this text block our pictures of the
mission house. It has a lot of potential.
Unfortunately at the moment it has been
dormant for more than five years and West
Africa is very harsh. There needs to be many
renovations before we can move in. Maybe
you or your congregation would be interested
in a building project!
To the right are the outhouses and shower.
Below are your current choices.
There is no public water or electricity. We will use a cistern system and ration water as the dry season is very long.
To the right is the kitchen. Below are pictures of termite and vandal damage.
Our time concluded with lunch at
Koyamoni's house. We had rice patties
with peanut sauce and chicken.
Koyamoni is a vicar from the seminary
in Dapaong, Togo. In the picture are
our kids and Koyamoni's son,
Koyamoni Kabo Marthin.
