URGENT NEED!!!  PLEASE HELP!!!
Now what was MOST startling for me was what the people said.  I have been to many cities
in many countries and heard the needy stories and it is hard to determine who to help
because each person can only help so much.  But when I heard the plea of the refugees I
promised them I would share it with everyone I know.  They did not ask me for money,
food, or drink.  They thing they wanted most, the greatest crave and desire they had was
for the Word of God.  The people from Sierra Leone and Liberia speak and read English.  In
the past, Rev. Heiney got used English Bibles sent to him but at the moment he doesn't have
any one to send Bibles out.  Can you help?  We would like to have a couple boxes collected
and shipped by January 2007.  Email me at
rev.jamesmay@yahoo.com if you or your
congregation could do this.  They are begging just to read and hear the Word of Life.
As you can imagine there have been many experiences that remind me how
much I have been blessed... but there are also those days when I realize how
much more I could learn from others.  This was the case when Rev. Tim Heiney
and I were down near the border with Sierra Leone and Liberia.  In last several
years there have been many wars and attacks by rebels.  These wars are VERY
gruesome and I don't even want to give examples here but men, women, and
children and beaten and killed without rhyme or reason.  As a result many have
fled into neighboring Guinea.  They have lost all possessions, all their life
savings, and only if they are lucky does the whole family arrive alive and
together. Below is a picture of one of the UN shelters for refugees.  This family
that is standing in front of their "house" is one of EIGHT families that reside
there.

ATTENTION!!! Due to civil unrest in the country of Guinea it is impossible to send
mail to Guinea at this time.  When the situation has been resolved and a stable
government is in place I can give you further instructions.  You can also try emailing
Rev. Tim Heiney.  Another option is you can send the bibles to me in Burkina Faso or
Togo and Rev. Heiney can take bibles back with him since he frequently visits Togo.
Sorry about the frustration this might have caused.  It has also affected us and the people
we work with.  Please pray for peace, justice, and that the Gospel may have free course
to be preached to all.
